Writer's Black

for

November 4, 2004

So the problem is that I think of one or two great topics every day, and by the time I get home, I'm too worn out, or too busy, or not home in time, or whatever, and I find all my ideas either gone or too long. Which is why the National Novel Writing Month delusion is really such a delusion. However, I am writing the majority of my "novel"--it's more like a memoir, which will morph into fiction as it goes--on my Blackberry. This means that I'm doing it on the subway, a paragraph at a time, and there is virtually no chance I'll make it by the deadline, but I'm enjoying writing on one topic for so long. Right now, it focuses on music and my interest therein for quite some time. Of course, this is another reason why I probably don't have the time to write individual entries--I'm busy driving myself blind on the train.
